The Jacob Johnson Stone House

Warwarsing, New York

Scope

Located on the property of the Ulster County Correctional Facility, the stone house is known as “Building 30”. Constructed in the late 18th C. the building has been previously known as the James Woods House and the Jacob Johnson House.

The roof of the house was under significant distress, and was permitting chronic water infiltration, damaging interior finishes. The JHPArchitects PC team was enlisted to perform a brief conditions assessment of the roof, and complete restoration documents to address deficiencies but retain historic integrity. The completed work will ensure the longevity of this example of 18th C Hudson Valley architecture for years to come.
